Privacy Policy

Effective July 10, 2026

The short version: Search Quest lets you look up publicly available information about people by name, phone, email, or address. We don't sell your data, we don't use advertising or tracking SDKs, and your search history and saved reports stay on your device. The searches you run are sent securely to our service to fetch results, and nothing more.

Who we are

Search Quest ("the app," "we," "us") is published by DreamTeamApps. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Information you provide

To run a search, you enter a person's name, phone number, email address, or physical address. This search input is used only to look up matching public records and is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our service, which returns the results to your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your own name, email, or profile to use the app.

How searches work

When you search, your query is sent to our backend service, which queries licensed public-records and data-aggregation sources and returns the results. Results are compiled from publicly available and licensed information. We do not retain your individual search queries to build a profile of you.

Your history and saved reports

Your recent searches and any reports you save are stored locally on your device, in the app's private storage. You can delete saved reports at any time, and deleting the app removes this local data. You may optionally enable Face ID / Touch ID to protect access to your saved reports.

Information we do not collect

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.
We do not access your contacts, photos, or location unless you explicitly grant a permission for a feature that needs it.

Third parties

Search results are sourced through our backend from licensed third-party data providers. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. We do not share your information with anyone else.

Data security

Searches travel over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Your history and saved reports are stored in your device's private, app-only storage and protected by your device's own security, plus optional Face ID / Touch ID.

Important — permissible use & FCRA notice. Search Quest is NOT a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the information it provides is NOT to be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose. You may use Search Quest for personal, informational purposes — such as researching yourself or reconnecting with people you know. You may NOT use it to stalk, harass, or harm any individual. You are responsible for using the information you obtain lawfully.

Children's privacy

Search Quest is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
